Annual Awards Banquet & Fundraiser:

Our main fundraiser is held every January and serves as a venue to bring baseball enthusiasts, coaches, amateur athletes, professional athletes, and the many baseball volunteers in the community together to celebrate the past season’s accomplishments.

Money raised provides scholarship opportunities to deserving high school student-athletes based on academics, public service involvement, and athletic skill.

Some of the past speakers include the late JOHNNY PESKY from Red Sox fame who once said “I’ve been to hundreds of baseball banquets and this one in Portland is the best I’ve ever attended” and ESPN’s NEIL EVERETT.​

This year's speakers are Jon Spoelstra and Mitch Canham.

Jon Spoelstra Bio:

Jon is the proud husband of Elisa and father of Monica and Erika. After graduating from Notre Dame, Jon has spent almost his entire working career as a sports executive and a top read author of both business books and as of late his highly popular mystery series.

Jon has been an advisor to over 52 sports teams and top flight present sports executives. He has been in charge of more sellouts than any executive in sports history that include the Portland Trail Blazers and the Dayton Dragons baseball team.

Jon is the only sports executive in the history of sports to be traded to another team for a player.

As a 46 year resident of the state of Oregon we are humbled to have Jon as our guest speaker on January 11th.

Mitch Canham Bio:

Two-time National Champion Mitch Canham was named the 21st head coach in Oregon State baseball's history on June 13, 2019.

Canham, the Pat Casey Head Baseball Coach, was revered by Beaver Nation in four years as a student-athlete, and is one of the most popular players in school history. He was a 2007 All-American and guided the Beavers to three trips to Omaha, culminating in National Championships in 2006 and 2007.

Canham, a native of Richland, Wash., came back to the collegiate ranks after spending three-and-a-half seasons as a manager in the Seattle Mariners' organization.
